About the Role
Reporting to the Team Coordinator Rostering the Rostering Officer plays a critical role in coordinating Support Worker schedules to ensure high-quality outcomes for Participants. As the primary point of contact for roster matters you will maintain accurate responsive and compliant rosters in a dynamic operational environment.
This is a fast-paced high-volume phone-based role requiring sound judgement strong organisational skills and the ability to think on your feet.
This position is offered on an initial 6-month contract with the potential for extension.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide professional and responsive customer service to Support Workers and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate and maintain rolling fortnightly rosters including shift swaps TBAs leave coverage and staffing changes
- Ensure all vacant shifts are filled in a timely and efficient manner
- Liaise with Program Area Coordinators and the People and Culture team as required
- Ensure rostering practices comply with all relevant Industrial Legislative and organisational requirements
- Communicate roster changes clearly and professionally
- Provide high-quality administrative support and maintain accurate records

You will be able to clearly demonstrate:
- Previous experience in rostering and/or workforce scheduling
- Experience working in a fast-paced customer service or call-centre environment
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
- A professional and accountable approach to your work
- The ability to receive and apply constructive feedback
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Systems capability in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word etc.) and experience using MYP rostering software (highly desirable)
- A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- An understanding of and respect for the values and philosophy of a not-for-profit organisation
A tertiary qualification in Business Administration and/or relevant experience will be highly regarded.
Successful candidates will be required to clear background checks including National Police and pre-employment medical checks a NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Vulnerable Check.
