Your New Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our Digital Modernisation Division working in complex multi-vendor environments within a supportive and collaborative team. This role focuses on network engineering infrastructure management and performance optimisation with a strong emphasis on design security and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain network infrastructure including routers switches firewalls and cloud-based networking solutions.

• Design review and produce high-quality architecture and as-built documentation to support network environments.

• Monitor troubleshoot and resolve network issues ensuring reliability performance and resilience of services.

• Implement and manage network security measures supporting secure infrastructure across on-premise and cloud platforms.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan capacity manage changes and adapt to evolving requirements while contributing to on-call support.

About You and What Youll Bring

• Strong experience in network engineering including configuration and integration of routers firewalls and related infrastructure components.

• Deep understanding of network protocols tools and security principles particularly across cloud-based environments.

• Proven ability to develop high-quality design documentation and build strong stakeholder relationships.

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.

• Relevant certifications such as CCNP or CISSP (or equivalent experience) and a proactive collaborative approach to problem-solving.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and be able to gain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance.
