Job Summary
The Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer - AWS plays a key role in leading the design delivery and evolution of secure scalable AWS cloud platforms setting engineering standards driving strategic outcomes and ensuring reliable compliant and cost-effective platform capabilities across the enterprise.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across AWS with strong expertise in EKS leading the design of scalable secure and resilient container platforms
- Own the end-to-end delivery of cloud platform initiatives ensuring effective incident management continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Drive engineering excellence through adoption of IaC CI/CD DevOps practices and security-by-design aligned to regulatory standards
- Lead and mentor engineering teams building capability in cloud-native and Kubernetes practices while fostering a strong team culture
- Partner with stakeholders across architecture security and product to align solutions manage risk and ensure platform governance and compliance
- Deep expertise in Amazon EKS including cluster design operations scaling upgrades and troubleshooting
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as VPC IAM EC2 S3 RDS Lambda and EventBridge
- Proven knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures including networking observability security and multi-cluster environments
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation practices particularly Terraform
- Proven track record operating enterprise-scale highly available cloud platforms with strong CI/CD and DevOps capability
- Strong understanding of cloud security compliance and regulated environments including performance cost optimisation and SRE practices
- Demonstrated technical leadership stakeholder engagement and team capability uplift with relevant certifications (AWS ITIL) and experience in regulated industries advantageous
