Job Summary
- Manage and monitor electronic security systems including CCTV alarms access control biometric solutions mantraps and other security technologies.
- Monitor system performance uptime faults and recurring issues ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Maintain oversight of security infrastructure across operational sites and restricted access areas.
- Support the operation and administration of CCTV and surveillance systems.
- Facilitate the review and retrieval of surveillance footage for investigations incident response and security assessments.
- Maintain controls over the access retrieval sharing retention and disposal of surveillance footage.
- Identify surveillance gaps infrastructure vulnerabilities and system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
- Administer and monitor biometric authentication card access systems visitor management processes and mantrap security controls.
- Analyse access logs and reports to identify irregular activities unauthorised access attempts and potential security breaches.
- Ensure access control records biometric information and visitor management data comply with privacy and data protection requirements.
- Provide security infrastructure recommendations for new facilities refurbishments relocations and technology implementation projects.
- Collaborate with Information Security Technology and Risk teams to ensure security infrastructure systems are securely configured appropriately patched monitored and protected against cyber threats.
- Support business continuity disaster recovery testing and resilience assessments relating to critical security infrastructure.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of security infrastructure assets.
- Monitor maintenance schedules warranties service history system deficiencies and remediation activities.
- Coordinate with service providers and internal stakeholders on maintenance testing repairs and optimisation of security systems.
- Monitor vendor performance against agreed service level agreements quality standards and turnaround times.
- Assist in evaluating technical specifications procurement requirements and vendor proposals.
- Escalate vendor performance concerns and track corrective actions.
- Support the management and resolution of security incidents alarm activations suspicious activities and infrastructure failures.
- Assist with evidence collection and preservation footage retrieval chain-of-custody procedures and incident reporting.
- Contribute to investigations involving theft fraud vandalism unauthorised access attempted intrusions and other physical security incidents.
- Identify assess and report security risks control weaknesses and emerging vulnerabilities.
- Maintain security risk registers and monitor agreed mitigation measures.
- Support internal regulatory and external audits relating to physical and electronic security controls.
- Ensure security systems and surveillance activities comply with applicable data protection privacy and information governance requirements.
- Conduct periodic security infrastructure risk and control assessments and track corrective actions to closure.
- Prepare reports on security infrastructure performance incidents system availability maintenance activities vendor performance and corrective actions.
- Analyse security trends and control weaknesses and provide actionable recommendations.
- Support reporting to management and governance committees on security risks compliance matters and remediation progress.
Requirements
- A Bachelors degree in Information Systems Information Technology Computer Science Security Management Risk Management or a related field.
- Certifications in electronic security systems CCTV/VMS platforms access control investigations cybersecurity systems administration or related security disciplines.
- Hands-on training or certification in enterprise security technologies such as Milestone Cathexis Dahua Hikvision Axis GRG or similar security platforms.
- 3-5 years experience in electronic and physical security infrastructure within banking financial services or other high-security environments.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Economics Statistics Finance or a related field. 25 years of relevant work experience in data analysis business analytics or a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions pivot tables VLOOKUP macros). Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI Tableau or Google Data Studio. Strong understanding of statistical concepts and data interpretation. Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear actionable insights. Familiarity with SQL for data querying and extraction is a plus. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools processes and business challenges.
