Job Summary

  • Assess the ecological social economic institutional and livelihood context of the Sebungwe Region.
  • Review existing studies assessments plans policies strategies spatial data and restoration initiatives.
  • Map key stakeholders institutions programmes and initiatives involved in land management conservation agriculture livestock livelihoods and natural resource governance.
  • Facilitate stakeholder consultations and a landscape restoration planning workshop.
  • Identify drivers of landscape degradation restoration opportunities vulnerable ecosystems and communities and existing restoration gaps.
  • Identify and prioritise restoration zones ecosystems and intervention areas using stakeholder knowledge and available evidence.
  • Facilitate agreement among stakeholders on restoration priorities approaches responsibilities and potential partnerships.
  • Develop the Sebungwe Landscape Restoration Master Plan.
  • Ensure alignment with relevant national policies strategies frameworks and development priorities.
  • Establish an implementation action plan covering coordination monitoring learning resource mobilisation and investment.


Requirements
  • Proven experience developing landscape management plans integrated land-use plans natural resource management plans restoration frameworks strategies or related planning instruments.
  • Demonstrated experience in landscape or ecosystem restoration sustainable land and natural resource management climate resilience biodiversity conservation and/or sustainable livelihoods.
  • Experience designing and facilitating participatory multi-stakeholder landscape planning processes.
  • Experience working with communities traditional leaders local authorities government institutions NGOs/CSOs private-sector actors and development partners.
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder consultations workshops visioning exercises and participatory planning processes.
  • Strong understanding of landscape-level approaches integrating ecological social economic livelihood and institutional considerations.
  • Experience in stakeholder mapping institutional analysis landscape diagnostics and prioritisation of restoration opportunities.
  • Familiarity with Zimbabwes environmental land-use natural resource management climate change biodiversity agriculture and rural development policies and frameworks is an advantage.
  • Experience working in Zimbabwes rural landscapes particularly the Sebungwe/Mid-Zambezi region is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical report-writing synthesis and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build consensus around shared priorities.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into practical planning recommendations.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines.



Required Skills:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration Economics Statistics Finance or a related field. 25 years of relevant work experience in data analysis business analytics or a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions pivot tables VLOOKUP macros). Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI Tableau or Google Data Studio. Strong understanding of statistical concepts and data interpretation. Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear actionable insights. Familiarity with SQL for data querying and extraction is a plus. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools processes and business challenges.
