Role Overview
Lead the testing commissioning and system integration of rolling stock for railway/metro projects. The role is responsible for planning and coordinating T&C activities leading technical teams troubleshooting issues and ensuring rolling stock systems meet safety quality and operational requirements before entering service.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan coordinate and lead Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities for rolling stock.
- Perform and supervise static dynamic brake traction door HVAC passenger information system and TCMS testing.
- Review and manage test procedures method statements ITPs commissioning plans and test reports.
- Investigate test failures perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting and follow up corrective actions.
- Coordinate interface and integration testing between Rolling Stock Signaling Electrification and Track work systems.
- Work closely with Clients Consultants EPC Contractors suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Lead technical teams and support training knowledge transfer and commissioning handover.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Mechatronics Railway Vehicle Engineering Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in railway metro or large-scale infrastructure projects including at least 3 years in Testing & Commissioning.
- Hands-on experience with rolling stock systems such as bogies braking traction/propulsion and TCMS.
- Strong experience in train testing system integration and interface coordination particularly across Rolling Stock Signaling Electrification and Track work.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills with experience using methods such as 5 Whys and Fishbone Analysis.
- Familiarity with FAT/SAT ITP Test Procedures Method Statements Commissioning Plans and railway safety/HSE requirements.
- Good technical English communication skills; experience with Siemens rolling stock systems/equipment is an advantage.
