Job Summary
A Superintendent position is available at Garney. As aSuperintendentyou will be making a difference every day by helping Garney build work. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills and construction knowledgeat Garney.
- Lead daily self-perform yard piping operations on water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
- Supervise crews installing underground and above-ground process piping utility piping and mechanical systems.
- Coordinate manpower equipment materials and schedules to maintain production goals.
- Ensure work is completed safely on schedule and in compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with Project Managers Engineers inspectors and other trades to resolve field issues.
- Mentor and develop field crews while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Negotiate and purchase materials
- Maintain as-built documents
- Act as owner and architect/engineer contact
- Verify and provide inventory analysis
- Survey construction job site
- Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field experience
- 5 years of underground utility process piping or heavy civil construction experience with leadership experience as a Foreman or Superintendent.
- Experience leading self-perform yard piping or underground utility crews.
- Water/wastewater treatment plant experience preferred.
- Ability to read construction drawings utility layouts and project schedules.
- Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety quality and teamwork with willingness to travel as needed.
- Salary Range: $125K - $160K
