Xcode Cloud is a continuous integration and continuous delivery service integrated into Xcode and App Store Connect created to improve and enhance the development process for the Apple developer community. As a Xcode Cloud Distributed Systems Engineer you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of Apple platform development. nnYou will build tools used by millions of developers around the world to build test and ship software for Apples iOS macOS tvOS and watchOS platforms!
Were seeking a dedicated engineer to help build the future of development technologies at Apple. Our small focused team builds the features and services that power Xcode Cloud delivering new capabilities to our external developer this role youll design and implement features and services that form the essential foundation of our service infrastructure and security. Youll work closely with the broader developer tools organization to deliver features that cut across the entire developer ecosystem.
Design build and maintain backend services and APIs that power Xcode Cloud for Apples developer scalable secure infrastructure that supports high-availability high-throughput developer with the broader developer tools organization to define and deliver features that span multiple systems and clean well-tested maintainable code and participate in code reviews to uphold engineering and resolve production issues working across the stack to identify root causes and implement lasting to system design discussions technical specs and architectural decisions for new service health and performance and build tooling to improve observability and reliability.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalentn3 years of relevant work experiencenStrongly typed or functional programming languages (such as: Kotlin Scala Java Swift etc)nDesigning developing debugging deploying and operating cloud-based software services
Drafting project proposals and design documents to facilitate communication with the team and stake-holdersnUnderstanding of Design patterns for distributed micro-service systems
