Duration: 13-Week Contract Assignment
Schedule: MondayThursday 7:30 AM 3:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 32 Hours Weekly (Additional Hours May Be Available Based on Department Needs)

Compensation

Traveler Pay: $54$57/hr ($2160$2280 Weekly) (Based on Experience)
Local Pay: $40$43/hr ($1600$1720 Weekly) (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to join a busy Orthopedic Clinic within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures ensuring high-quality imaging maintaining patient safety and supporting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and general medical conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
  • Conduct imaging procedures including extremities abdomen/GI spine pelvis chest and thorax studies.
  • Assist with fluoroscopic and surgical procedures utilizing C-Arm technology.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and infection prevention protocols.
  • Review images for quality accuracy and completeness before submission for interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians nurses and healthcare staff to provide efficient patient care.
  • Operate and maintain radiologic equipment according to manufacturer and facility guidelines.
  • Support imaging needs in orthopedic emergency trauma and surgical environments as required.
  • Provide compassionate patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
Licensure & Certifications
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification required.
  • Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of X-Ray Technologist experience required.
  • Experience in orthopedic imaging preferred.
  • Level I Trauma experience required.
  • Experience in Emergency Room (ER) and Operating Room (OR) settings preferred.
  • Experience utilizing C-Arm equipment during surgical procedures required.
Skills & Competencies
  • Proficiency in:
    • Extremity imaging
    • Abdomen/GI studies
    • Spine and pelvis imaging
    • Chest and thorax imaging
    • Surgical imaging and C-Arm procedures
  • Strong understanding of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to image quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
