PositionSummary:
Provides healthcare services applying x-ray energy toassistin the diagnosis or treatment of patients using radio/fluoroscopic procedures.Performs medical imaging techniques and related procedures todemonstrateanatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Performs and documents all radiographic examinations withproficiency ensuring proper patient positioningappropriate techniqueselection and correct use of digital systems including RIS and Synapse/PACS.
Verifies patient identityreviewsrequisitions and chart orders and records complete patient historyin accordance withACR standards and departmental policies prior to each procedure.
Applies radiation safety protocols and adjusts technical factors based on patient anatomy while ensuring proper anatomical identification and orientation on all images.
Conducts quality assurance and control activities in compliance with ACR State Department of Health Services and other credentialing requirementsutilizingmodality QA reports to drive continuous improvement.
Maintains a safe organized work environment by assessing patient conditions applyingappropriate support/restrainingdevices managing supply inventory anddemonstratingprofessional courteous behavior with patients physicians and colleaguesat all times.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Successful completion of a radiology program at an accredited school
Current registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
State licensure where
BCLS
Competency in venipuncture aseptic technique universal precautions and documentation contrast administration and use of power injector

Final compensation is determined based on education experience certifications and geographic factors.
