Job Summary
The Referral Coordinator is responsible for maintaining information flow in the managed carereferral process for all contracted managed care health plans. Performs duties andresponsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission values and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma required
Experience: Work experience in a physicians office or medical institution with exposure to managed care and primary care rules and practices.
Other: Skill in exercising initiative judgement problem-solving and decision-making. Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with staff doctors nurses patients and managed care representatives. Skill in organizing work to achieve clinic goals and objectives. Ability to communicate clearly. Knowledge of governmental regulations and reimbursement requirements. Knowledge of computer systems and applications
