Job Summary
About the Role
Premier Global Links LLC is seeking a technically skilled Workshop Operations Manager to oversee workshop operations involving the assembly maintenance repair and servicing of industrial gearboxes and winches.
This role combines hands-on mechanical expertise with workshop leadership resource planning procurement quality control customer service and project coordination. The ideal candidate is organized dependable mechanically inclined and comfortable working with customers subcontractors and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan coordinate and manage daily workshop repair assembly and service activities.
- Supervise subcontractors including scheduling performance and quality.
- Plan and monitor customer orders repair jobs and service projects through the ERP system.
- Manage workshop personnel equipment tools materials spare parts and capacity.
- Procure operating supplies consumables spare parts and external services.
- Perform and coordinate quality inspections process controls and final checks.
- Review technical documentation work instructions and repair specifications.
- Coordinate with sales engineering purchasing and operations teams to meet project requirements.
- Monitor project costs delivery schedules and operational performance.
- Communicate with customers regarding repair status technical requirements delivery schedules and service expectations.
- Support troubleshooting and mechanical repair activities in the workshop and at customer locations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity quality safety and process efficiency.
- Maintain accurate workshop procurement inspection and project records in the ERP system.
- Train and guide workshop personnel while promoting teamwork accountability and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies safety requirements and applicable industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with the assembly maintenance and repair of gearboxes.
- General understanding of mechanical and industrial systems.
- Ability to support troubleshooting and perform standard mechanical repairs.
- Experience working with industrial equipment in a workshop or field environment.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Reliable independent and responsible approach to work.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to represent the company professionally at customer sites.
- Valid drivers license.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% including international assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience repairing or maintaining industrial winches.
- Technical field service or customer service experience.
- Experience with drive technology or industrial mechanical systems.
- Experience with ERP systems particularly Sage.
- Experience supervising workshop personnel or subcontractors.
- Relevant technical or mechanical training.
Work Environment & Travel
The position involves work in a workshop environment as well as customer locations. Approximately 20% travel may be required including occasional international assignments.
