Job Summary
Job Title: Workshop Facilitator Skilled Trades (Part-Time)
Craft Specialties: Electrical Plumbing or Carpentry (Apply for one two or all three)
Schedule: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (2-day workshops running 3 times between August and November)
Location: Nashville Tennessee
We are seeking knowledgeable hands-on instructors to facilitate short-term practical workshops in Electrical Plumbing and Carpentry. Our goal is to give participants a solid real-world introduction to these fundamental trades.
Each craft curriculum is structured as an intensive 2-day workshop. We are running a total of three workshop series between August and November.
Note: You do not need to be a master of all three trades to apply. If you are an expert in just one of these fields we want to hear from you!

Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM per workshop day (includes half-hour unpaid lunch and breaks).

Duration: 2 consecutive days per workshop.

Frequency: The 2-day workshops for each craft will repeat 3 times across the fall season (August through November).

Flexibility: Schedule details and specific dates for each trade will be finalized based on facilitator availability and enrollment.

Deliver Hands-On Instruction: Lead participants through practical introductory projects (e.g. basic framing for carpentry simple circuit wiring for electrical or pipe fitting/valve installation for plumbing).

Prioritize Safety: Demonstrate enforce and maintain strict workshop safety protocols including correct tool usage and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance.

Engage Learners: Foster an encouraging accessible environment for beginners or individuals looking to build fundamental trade skills.

Prep & Pack Down: Set up training materials and tools before 7:00 AM and ensure the workshop space is clean and organized at the end of the day.

Trade Expertise: Proven professional experience or formal training in at least one of the target fields:

Carpentry: Layout measuring cutting hand/power tools basic framing.

Electrical: Basic circuitry outlets switches safety protocols reading simple schematics.

Plumbing: Pipe materials (PEX PVC Copper) fittings basic residential fixtures leak troubleshooting.

Teaching/Mentoring Mentality: Prior experience as a trainer foreman teacher or mentor is highly valued though a passion for sharing your craft with beginners is most critical.

Reliability: Ability to commit to the full 2-day duration of your scheduled workshops and arrive promptly for the 7:00 AM start.

Communication: Clear patient communication style to break down technical steps for beginners.
