Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY
The AvantGarde LLC Workforce Development Coordinator supports the Workforce Development Branch within a federal Human Resources office by assessing data preparing reports and coordinating training and development activities to support the organizations workforce development needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor all mandatory training requirements report delinquent statuses and update learning and tracking systems.
- Coordinate across departments to ensure participants are properly scheduled for training and onboarding activities and have all necessary access documentation clearances approvals and training materials.
- Download compile and upload data and prepare reports that provide supervisors with the status of employee training coursework and developmental activities. Assist supervisors in determining which training and development activities must be scheduled to meet compliance and professional development requirements.
- Enter department-requested courses into the Learning Management System schedule courses send invitations and reminders and register participants in support of program managers mentoring programs branch leadership and other personnel responsible for assessing future workforce development strategies.
- Follow up with employees supervisors presenters and others involved in training and development events to ensure all logistics are arranged presenters are scheduled and participants are registered. Support organizational goals related to strategic planning workforce shaping data collection special projects and quality meetings.
- Coordinate with departments regarding registration for government-led training including acquisition-related and cybersecurity workforce courses.
- Assist with the facilitation and delivery of onboarding activities and materials as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- High school diploma or GED and five years of relevant experience in the private sector nonprofit sector or state local or federal government or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written verbal and customer service skills with strong attention to detail and demonstrated experience preparing professional documents and communications.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel and Outlook. Experience using a Learning Management System is preferred.
- Ability to remain flexible and adapt the approach used to complete assigned work.
- Must be willing to work onsite in Philadelphia Pennsylvania with some potential for telework as approved by the client.
- Must be able to successfully complete the required federal clearance process.
- Ability to operate a computer in a professional office environment.
- This is primarily a sedentary position.
- Some bending light lifting and carrying of equipment may be required.
