Job Summary

We are recruiting an experienced Workers Compensation Paralegal to support attorneys in a respected Cleveland law office. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who understands Ohio workers compensation procedures and can independently manage claims filings and deadlines.

Full-Time Direct Hire. Hybrid.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare workers compensation claims for administrative hearings

- Draft pleadings claim summaries correspondence and other legal documents

- Request organize and review medical records

- Coordinate independent medical examinations and prepare summary correspondence

- Monitor case activity filing requirements and critical deadlines

- Submit documents electronically to courts and administrative agencies

- Proofread filings for accuracy and compliance with applicable rules

- Assist with depositions mediations arbitrations hearings and trials

- Communicate professionally with attorneys clients medical providers and outside parties

- Identify potential issues and escalate them appropriately

Qualifications:

- At least three years of paralegal experience in a law firm or other legal setting

- Working knowledge of Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation and Industrial Commission of Ohio procedures

- Paralegal certificate related degree or bachelors degree preferred

- Strong Microsoft Office skills

- Excellent writing proofreading analytical and organizational abilities

- Ability to manage competing priorities and complete time-sensitive assignments

- Sound judgment and a proactive approach to attorney support
