Job Description

• Manage a full caseload of California workers compensation defense matters from start to finish.
• Prepare discovery motions pleadings settlements and other litigation-related documents.
• Handle appearances hearings depositions and other proceedings as needed.
• Manage cases on appeal and work within applicable judicial and procedural requirements.
• Communicate regularly with assigned clients and provide timely case updates and strategic guidance.
• Prepare organize maintain and retrieve case files evidence exhibits pleadings depositions and related materials.
• Develop case strategy and keep files moving efficiently toward resolution.
• Analyze claims identify risks and opportunities and pursue effective defense strategies.
• Deliver responsive professional client service while managing competing deadlines and priorities.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 1 year of California workers compensation defense experience.
• Strong knowledge of California workers compensation law and litigation procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization time management analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload independently and meet deadlines.
• Insurance claims or subrogation experience is a plus.

• $95K to $120K (1 to 2 years)
• $120K to $150K (3 to 5 years)
• $150K to $175K (6 to 9 years)
• $175K to $200K (10 years).
