Roper Corporation is seeking Work-Based Learning Assembly Operators for high school students age 17 and older who are currently enrolled in an approved Work-Based Learning program through their school.This is a great opportunity for students to gain hands-on manufacturing experience while balancing school responsibilities. Eligible students will work part-time up to 20 hours per week based on school schedules and availability. Positions may be available on 1st 2nd or 3rd shift.
The Work-Based Learning Assembly Operator supports production by assembling range/oven cooking appliances and related components according to established production schedules and quality standards. This role involves moving parts and materials using air tools plugging wires and completing assembly tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Assemble cooking appliances and/or components according to production requirements
- Move parts and materials throughout the work area
- Use air tools and other equipment safely and effectively
- Plug wires and assemble components accurately
- Follow work instructions safety procedures and quality standards
- Maintain productivity and attendance expectations
Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the jobwith or without reasonable accommodation including but not limited to:
- Prolonged standing
- Frequent walking and handling of parts during assembly
- Pushing pulling grasping squeezing and pinching
- Reaching at waist shoulder overhead knee and floor levels
- Fine motor dexterity and neck flexion
- Use of air tools and vibratory tools
- Bending stooping squatting crouching kneeling crawling twisting and pivoting
- Ladder/stair climbing as needed
- Neck extension and rotation
- Lifting/carrying up to25 pounds
- Pushing/pulling up to25 pounds
- Must beat least 17 years old
- Must be currently enrolled in ahigh school Work-Based Learning program
- Must beauthorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to successfully complete acriminal background check
- Part-time:Up to20 hours per week
- Schedule will be based onschool class schedule and availability
- Weekday shifts available:1st 2nd or 3rd shift
- $15.30 per hour
- Additional $1.50 shift differentialfor2nd and 3rd shifts
