Job Summary
OverviewMaintenance Technician I is an entry level customer facing position. This position is responsible for surveying troubleshooting repairing and maintaining Window and Sliding Glass Door products. This position reports to the Service Department DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLocates sources of problems by observing windows and sliding glass doors in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing defective parts by dismantling devices; using hand and power tools; examining form and texture of changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules calipers micrometers and other measuring functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools levels plumb bobs and equipment parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment parts and maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and mechanical maintenance reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and duties may be assignedThis position will:Conduct service/repairs assist with warranty issues and file warranty reports with on-site assistance to help troubleshoot and repair frequent/daily use of ladders and lifting 30 and coordinate activities concerned with investigating and resolving customer reports of performance reports and documentation from customers and sales representatives and inspect malfunctioning or damaged products to determine nature and scope of review and inspection findings to determine source of problem and recommend repair replacement or other corrective high accuracy in performing service work on product per work order a communication link between the customer and the Company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the up other maintenance technicians as supervisor of any shortages in stock or of any malfunctions or damage to equipment or incoming supplies keep tools and machinery clean and maintained and is responsible for all tools assigned to truck by keeping it clean and RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
