About the Role
Are you interested in using technology data and analytics to solve real business challenges As a Digital Innovation Intern youll work alongside experienced professionals supporting the systems and technologies that help power WGL Energys retail energy business. Youll gain hands-on experience with business applications analytics and digital transformation initiatives while helping improve processes enhance user experiences and support data-driven decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity to develop both your technical and business acumen while working on meaningful projects within the energy industry.
What Youll Do
- Support the Energy Retail Digital team in modernizing business-critical applications that enable day-to-day operations.
- Assist with requirements gathering business analysis data management reporting and related development activities to support informed decision-making and successful solution delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and support technology-driven solutions.
- Contribute to digital transformation automation and continuous improvement projects.
- Analyze data help clean up data and identify opportunities to enhance business performance and efficiency.
- Support special projects while gaining exposure to business systems analytics and emerging technologies.
What Youll Bring
- Currently enrolled in your 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate degree program in Business Analytics Data Science Information Systems Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in leveraging data to improve business performance.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and translate complex concepts into practical solutions.
- Experience with data visualization reporting tools dashboards analytics platforms or business systems is considered an asset.
- Collaborative curious and proactive with a willingness to learn new technologies and business processes.
