Wellness Coordinator Site Distribution Staff
FLIPANY is seeking a motivated and community-focused Wellness Coordinator Site Distribution Staff to support our food security wellness and health equity initiatives in the Deerfield Beach community.
This position plays an important role in supporting FLIPANYs Healthy Student Healthy Community (HSHC) initiative and community-based food distribution efforts. The Wellness Coordinator will work directly with community members volunteers schools and community partners to help ensure that food distributions and wellness activities are organized welcoming and delivered effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the operation of FLIPANYs food pantry markets and community food distribution programs.
- Assist with safe timely and efficient food distribution at assigned locations.
- Welcome and assist community members participating in food distributions.
- Coordinate and provide direction to volunteers and students supporting distribution activities.
- Assist with participant registration check-in surveys and other required program documentation.
- Collect and accurately enter participant and program data into FLIPANYs data management systems.
- Support community outreach efforts to promote food pantry markets wellness programs and food security initiatives.
- Develop or assist with outreach materials including flyers postcards presentations and other promotional materials.
- Build positive relationships with schools families community organizations food banks grocers nonprofits and other community partners.
- Assist with presentations and community engagement activities related to health wellness and food security.
- Support efforts to reduce food waste including Share Table initiatives when applicable.
- Maintain organized records and complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Work collaboratively with FLIPANY staff volunteers advisory committee members and community partners.
- Meet established program goals deadlines and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Public Health or a related field OR a high school diploma/equivalent with at least three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Experience in public health community health food security nonprofit programs social services education or a related field is preferred.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities projects and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation/data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs particularly Excel Outlook and Teams.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse communities volunteers families and community partners.

Additional Requirements
- Valid drivers license required.
- Must be comfortable working in-person at community-based locations including schools churches and food distribution sites.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with food distribution.
- Must be able to lift carry and move food supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be comfortable working directly with community members volunteers students and families.
- Must be available to work approximately 1015 hours per week including the anticipated Wednesday schedule from 12:00 PM5:30 PM at Deerfield Beach Middle School.
- Additional workdays hours and locations may vary based on program and community distribution needs.
