Welding & Fitting- Selmer

TKO StaffPros is seeking skilled Welders and Fitters to support the fabrication of structural steel components in a fastpaced production environment. These roles involve fitting aligning and welding steel parts according to blueprints layout specifications and approved weld procedures. Candidates must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints and layout specifications to determine material requirements and task sequences.
• Position align fit and weld structural steel components using jigs welding torches hand tools and layout equipment.
• Tackweld fitted parts and complete welds according to approved weld procedures and quality standards.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears flame cutters grinders and drill presses for fitup and preparation.
• Verify conformance of workpieces using squares rulers measuring tapes and other precision tools.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning grinding or cutting to ensure proper weld penetration and fusion.
• Use clamps jacks hoists and rigging equipment to position and secure large assemblies safely.
• Follow all company safety regulations wear full PPE and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with moving steel components using overhead cranes or forklifts.
• Perform basic math measurement and layout tasks with accuracy.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Must pass an onsite weld test.
• Experience with MIG TIG SMAW or FCAW welding processes preferred.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to lift push and pull up to 70 lbs.
• Strong work ethic punctuality and willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
• Basic math and measurement skills required.

• Fabrication shop environment with exposure to noise heat and heavy equipment.
• Requires standing lifting bending and moving steel components regularly.
• Strict adherence to PPE and safety guidelines.
