The Security Officer protects people property and assets by patrolling premises monitoring systems controlling access and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

Objectives

• Ensure the safety and security of personnel property and company assets.
• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees customers and visitors from harm.
• Help prevent theft vandalism unauthorized access and other security threats.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies safety regulations and legal compliance standards.
• Provide visible deterrence against criminal activity and suspicious behavior.
• Support organizational operations by creating a safe and secure workplace.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings parking lots & entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras alarm systems and security equipment.
• Control building access by verifying identification checking credentials and managing visitor logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms disturbances emergencies and security incidents.
• Enforce security protocols company rules and regulations for premises personnel and visitors.
• Inspect doors windows gates and security equipment to prevent unauthorized access.
• Investigate suspicious activities behavior and security breaches.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills excellent communication abilities and quick decision-making capabilities.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Companys pre-employment screening process including drug screen and background investigation.
