Job Summary

Washington Trust has an opportunity for a highly motivated Wealth Associate to join our Wealth Management Administration team. The Wealth Associate will work closely with wealth management professionals and administrative staff to provide operational client service and account administration support. The Associate is responsible for coordinating administrative processes maintaining account documentation supporting client onboarding and servicing activities and ensuring the timely and accurate execution of operational is an excellent opportunity for someone with a minimum of 2 years of experience in wealth management financial services operations or client administration. The ideal candidate will be looking to broaden their knowledge of wealth management practices and client service delivery. This position is part of a career progression track and offers opportunities to develop expertise in fiduciary services wealth planning client relationship management and other areas of wealth ResponsibilitiesClient & Administrative SupportRespond to client and internal inquiries in a timely and professional manner providing assistance and directing requests to the appropriate team members when neededCoordinate and schedule client meetings prepare meeting materials and support follow-up activitiesProcess and monitor account-related transactions including checks wires ACH transfers bill payments and other administrative requestsPrepare and maintain client records account documentation and system data to ensure accuracy and completenessSupport account onboarding maintenance and servicing activities throughout the client relationship lifecycleDevelop maintain and grow client relationshipsOperational & Team SupportGather organize and maintain documentation required for account opening account maintenance annual reviews distributions and account closing activitiesCreate update and maintain records within Wealth Management systems to ensure data integrity and compliance with established proceduresCoordinate administrative workflows and follow-up activities across team members and internal business partnersPrepare correspondence reports spreadsheets and other administrative materials to support departmental operationsAssist with special projects departmental initiatives and process improvement efforts as assignedQuality Assurance & Process ManagementRun and review operational reports to monitor account activity workflow status and outstanding action itemsMaintain reminders and tracking tools to ensure deadlines regulatory requirements and internal procedures are metPerform quality-control reviews of documentation account records and transactions to promote accuracy and consistencyMonitor outstanding requests and follow up with appropriate parties to ensure timely completion of administrative and operational tasksIdentify process improvement opportunities and contribute to enhancing operational efficiency and service deliveryRequirements and Preferred QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent experience and 2 years of experience in wealth management operations financial services administration client service account administration or a related fieldStrong understanding of operational workflows account servicing documentation management and administrative processesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-throughProven experience delivering exceptional client and internal service through effective communication and problem resolutionProficiency with Microsoft Office applications particularly Word Excel Outlook and document management systemsStrong written verbal and interpersonal communication skillsStrong customer service skills with demonstrated experience delivering exceptional service resolving customer concerns and delivering high-quality supportProfessional telephone presence and the ability to interact effectively with clients colleagues and business partnersThis position is in Providence or Westerly RI but has the option to work remotely from RI CT or MA. Candidates must have access to appropriate internet/wi-fi and home workspace (required).Compensation: A goodfaith reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $60000 - $70000 and the actual offer will depend on factors such as experience skills training certifications and education. This base salary reflects one component of our competitive compensation package. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
