Senior Workers Compensation Claims Examiner New York

Location: Philadelphia PA / Remote
Schedule: Full-Time Hybrid or Remote
Salary: $85000$95000 annually

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced New York Workers Compensation Claims Examiner to manage a caseload of complex indemnity claims from initial investigation through final resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of New York Workers Compensation regulations excellent claims management skills and the ability to work independently.

This position offers a hybrid schedule for candidates in the Philadelphia area with remote opportunities available for candidates residing outside the area.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 115125 New York Workers Compensation claims including complex indemnity files.

• Investigate claims and determine compensability in accordance with New York state regulations.

• Administer indemnity benefits and coordinate appropriate medical treatment.

• Review and authorize medical bills and treatment as appropriate.

• Establish and maintain accurate claim reserves.

• Coordinate with defense counsel on litigated claims.

• Negotiate settlements and manage claims through closure.

• Maintain accurate claim documentation and diary management.

• Communicate with injured workers medical providers employers and clients.

• Conduct independent file reviews and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Workers Compensation claims handling experience.

• Experience handling New York indemnity claims required.

• New York Workers Compensation Adjuster License required.

• Strong understanding of New York Workers Compensation laws and regulations.

• Experience managing complex and litigated claims.

• Excellent communication negotiation and organizational skills.

• Ability to independently manage a full caseload.

• Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Work Arrangement

Candidates located in the Philadelphia area are preferred for a hybrid schedule. Candidates outside the Philadelphia area may be eligible for a fully remote arrangement.
