Wastewater Operator

Job Summary:
As an SS Operator 1 youll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance support on water treatment systems for one of our customers from one of a variety of industries. This mission critical role involves working on (and cleaning) a variety of technologies including media filtration softening reverse osmosis (RO) ion exchange (IX) de-oxygenation electro deionization and ultrafiltration (UF). The primary duty is to unload Process Filter Presses.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Empty Process Filter Presses
• Power Wash Pits and Equipment including Confined Space Entry
• Carry out filter changes process cleaning and process operations as directed by Shift Leads
• Maintain site paperwork and provide summaries of work performed
• Communicate with Shift Lead on inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
• Monitor and maintain systems as directed
• Perform analytical testing as directed
• Consult with Shift Lead and operation teams for direction
• Operate monitor and optimize equipment as directed
• Change and Clean Filters and other equipment / Pits
• Conduct maintenance and calibration activities
• Maintain a clean work area
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent mechanical know-how
• Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting climbing working at elevated heights and manual dexterity
• Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities manufacturing facilities and power industry facilities

Education & Experience:

Required

• High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent 2 years experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment

Preferred

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation
