Location: WilmingtonNorth Carolina
Contract Length: 12 Months
Working Model:Fully on-site
Working Hours:6am - 2pm 40 hours per week with possibility of overtime
Interview Process:2 rounds 1st round virtual with cameras on 2nd round in person

Position Summary
The Operations Support Specialist supports safe efficient production by ensuring operators have the materials tooling and supplies needed to perform their work. This position will function as a water spider maintaining Kanban inventory preparing production kits and tool carts transporting materials and removing waste from production areas.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused organized dependable and proactive in identifying and responding to the needs of the operation.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain Kanban areas by replenishing materials and supplies to established minimum and maximum inventory levels.
Monitor material availability and respond proactively to potential shortages.
Pick organize and deliver production materials through the kitting process.
Set up and replenish tool carts based on production requirements.
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport materials between the warehouse and production areas.
Pick up transport and properly dispose of waste barrels in accordance with site environmental and safety requirements.
Maintain orderly clearly labeled and properly stocked material-storage areas.
Verify that materials tools and supplies are delivered to the correct work area.
Support inventory accuracy by following established material-control and transaction processes.
Communicate shortages damaged materials inventory discrepancies and other concerns to the appropriate supervisor or support function.
Coordinate with production warehouse maintenance and other support teams to minimize delays and interruptions.
Support 5S and housekeeping expectations throughout assigned areas.
Follow all safety quality environmental and material-handling procedures.
Perform other operations-support duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Experience in manufacturing warehousing logistics material handling or a similar environment.
Ability to safely lift move and handle materials within established job requirements.
Basic computer skills and the ability to complete inventory or material transactions.
Ability to read labels part numbers work instructions and production schedules.
Willingness to work the assigned shift including overtime as required.
Current forklift qualification or previous forklift experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Kanban kitting point-of-use inventory or material-replenishment systems.
Experience handling industrial waste containers in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing 5S and visual inventory controls.
Experience using an ERP or warehouse-management system.

Physical Requirements
Frequently stand walk bend reach push pull and lift materials throughout the shift.
Safely operate forklifts carts pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment.
Work in an industrial manufacturing environment and wear required personal protective equipment.
Handle barrels tooling production supplies and other materials in accordance with established lifting and handling requirements.
