Warehouse Supervisor

NOV Production Midstream sells a broad range of essential technologies with a high cost of failure customers can rely on including artificial lift technologies production chokes reciprocating and progressive cavity pumps and pipeline products. As Warehouse Supervisor you will be an effective team leader responsible for directing the front-line employees in the warehouse. This position is directly responsible for the shipping/receiving and warehousing function for the Tulsa location PM warehouses.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a high degree of inventory accuracy throughout the entire warehouse/shipping/receiving department
• Responsible for hiring and retaining along with employee development and/or corrective actions for warehouse/shipping/receiving personnel
• Ensures timely and accurate receiving within 48 hours
• Coordinate with order management to ensure shipments are going out daily to customers and receiving and put away done in timely and correct manner
• Reconcile and age pick tickets vs. packed boxes to ensure shipments are flowing timely and accurately with no duplicated picks.
• Supervise; Train all full time or contract/temporary employees to ensure our (SOPs) procedures are met and all employees work in accordance with NOV Code of Conduct (Company Policy)
• Participate in inventory audits and reconciliation as needed
• Investigate shipping discrepancies for root cause and corrective action recommendations
• Ensure accurate execution of cycle count as directed
• Collaborate with engineering production quality vendors customer support and other departments regarding problem resolution
• Aid in warehouse layout design and housekeeping for effective storage methods and adherence to quality requirements
• Aid in implementation of new warehouse/shipping/receiving technology and processes.
• Focus on safety cost management and business growth in all interactions and directives
• Comply with all NOV Company and Quality Health Safety Environmental polices & procedures
• Carry out job requirements in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
• Ensure compliance of the companys overall objectives
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 2 to 4 year(s) of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 -3 year(s) of experience in supervising and directing personnel; preferably in a shipping receiving and/or warehouse
• ERP or MRP system experience preferably JDE and EBS

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must have strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
• Ability to effectively use problem solving planning process improvement and implementation skills to achieve a wide array of goals and directives.
• General knowledge of a customer driven high volume manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel Word and Outlook.

• Data entry utilizing JD Edwards or similar ERP system.
