Warehouse Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Job DescriptionThe 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor will organize and oversee a team of dock staff and warehouse associates during a specified shift to ensure that freight is properly loaded and unloaded to facilitate on-time error-free FUNCTIONS:Assists in the hiring and training of dock staff and warehouse in the unloading and loading of freight when and lead a team of dock associates and warehouse dock operations to ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading of all daily inspections ensuring compliance with applicable federal state local and internal laws regulations and with development and execution of continuous improvement initiativesPerform conflict and issue resolution management as neededManage daily end-of-shift reports as well as performance updatesWork directly with Customer(s) on-sitePerforms other related duties as assignedREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:Strong supervisory and leadership interpersonal and customer service organizational skills and attention to time management skills with the proven ability to meet analytical and problem-solving understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and other related safety policiesand best with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to monitor and maintain records (Excel preferred).Working in a union environment AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent supervisory or warehouse experience REQUIREMENTS:Prolonged periods standing and up to four hours per shift sitting and working on a be able to lift up to 50 be able to work in hot and cold climates
