Job Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Clerk is a member of the shipping and warehouse team working with production customer service and logistics to ensure timely shipment of customer orders. Verifies and maintains records and reports for incoming and outgoing shipments and transportation of product.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with Production Logistics and Customer Service to coordinate and ensure the on-time shipment of customer orders.
  • Ensure that all business-related items are successfully and professionally communicated to co-workers either verbally or in writing.
  • Contact carrier representatives to make transportation arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
  • Confer and correspond with internal and external partners to rectify problems such as damage shortages and non-conformance to specifications.
  • Input/ post all required shipping and receiving data into systems (MS documents SAP and Redwood Logistics) including all changes in a timely manner.
  • Create and manage shipping and receiving data via reporting e.g. Open Order report.
  • Organize file & process shipping documents.
  • Order and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory stock.
  • Assist customers when they are making a pick-up and drivers making deliveries. Manage the Receiving Office window assigning doors and ensuring inspection documentation is completed appropriately. Maintain folder of inspections in shared company drive.
  • Deliver or route materials to departments via hand truck. Use forklift as required for material movement.
  • Accurately fulfill daily customer orders by picking packing and shipping products in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 3 years of warehouse or distribution experience
  • Experience using SAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Outlook Word)
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Forklift certification
