We are seeking a dependable team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is responsible for packaging materials and products loading and moving inventory and operating packaging and material-handling equipment to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers.
How Youll Contribute
You will play a hands-on role in daily warehouse operations supporting the delivery of a broad product line by performing tasks that include:
Verify products and match items to packing slips using item and vendor numbers descriptions and quantities through visual inspections reference manuals or measuring instruments
Count and pack items including DOT-regulated materials
Fill boxes with packing material pack and seal items apply shipping labels and shrink wrap products
Create barcode labels using item numbers scan and apply labels within the warehouse computer system and scan packages for UPS invoicing
Audit packages for accuracy and damage
Load unload and move product manually or using skids
Operate basic powered equipment (electric pallet jack forklift) and advanced equipment (turret truck order picker)
Train cross-functionally in other departments to support business needs
Follow all safety guidelines meet productivity and quality expectations and participate in the Work Clean program
What It Takes
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Basic computer skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid state drivers license (in some instances)
Willingness to work overtime as business needs require
Ability to obtain internal certification to operate powered equipment within required timeframes
Ability to obtain internal certification to pick DOT-regulated materials if required
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation including:
Standing and walking for extended periods
Lifting up to 75 pounds (individually or as a team)
Carrying pushing pulling climbing stairs and balancing
Stooping kneeling repeated bending reaching high and low
Repetitive twisting and hand/wrist motion
Ability to see (depth perception and peripheral vision) and hear adequately
Mental coordination and alertness throughout the shift
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet
