Rugby Architectural Building Products is a nationwide distributor of specialty building products with 26 locations across the U.S. Our Rockford IL location operates as River City Millwork.

Were growing and looking for a hardworking Warehouse Associate (Loader) to join our 2nd Shift team.

This is a physically active hands-on warehouse role. While forklift operation is an important part of the job a significant portion of your day will involve manually loading unloading moving and staging building materials. Our products are often large heavy and awkwardly shaped so this position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and takes pride in working safely.

• Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour depending on experience
• 2nd Shift Schedule: 11:00 a.m. to finish

• Load trucks accurately and safely for customer deliveries.
• Manually move stage and load building materials throughout the warehouse.
• Pick and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to transport heavy and oversized products.
• Receive unload and store incoming materials.
• Verify products and quantities against customer orders.
• Safely handle long bulky and awkward-shaped materials.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.
• Attend safety meetings and follow all company safety procedures.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

This is not a forklift-only role.

Successful team members spend a large portion of their shift manually handling building materials in addition to operating a forklift. The work is fast-paced and physical requiring strength stamina and a commitment to working safely.

• Warehouse material handling shipping receiving manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.
• Sit-down forklift experience is preferred; certification is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the entire shift.
• Comfortable repeatedly lifting carrying pushing and pulling materials.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds independently and move heavier materials with a teammate or equipment assistance.
• Ability to safely handle large heavy and awkwardly shaped building products.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Dependable self-motivated and team-oriented.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

This position is designated as a safety-sensitive role.
