Job Summary
Summary:
A Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing an array of functions that include picking and filling orders measuring and cutting a variety of hoses and managing/organizing stock in the warehouse.
- Operate assembly equipment with proper training
- Prepare orders by processing pick tickets; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
- Sort and place materials or items on racks shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
- Maintains inventory by collecting stock location orders recording amounts of materials picked and noting discrepancies.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and work stations neat; sweep and organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
- Operate materials handling equipment with proper training
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse tool rooms supply rooms or other areas
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects reporting any damages to supervisors
- Provide assistance or direction to other warehouse employees
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Hose and Fittings product knowledge is preferred but not required
- Basic mathematical skills required.
- Ability to read a tape measure preferred
- Good communication organizational and time management skills
- Ability to adapt to and work in a variety of situations to support the companys goals
- Must be comfortable lifting heavy items and using warehouse machinery
