Warehouse Agent

Division: Global Forwarding

Location: Varies State: Varies

Sub-division: North America Department: Operations/Warehousing

Reports to (position): Warehouse Supervisor Classification: Non- Exempt

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs one or more warehouse operational functions within the guidelines of the facility (pick pack wrap and load orders for our customers)
• Receives and stows product
• Ensures inventory accuracy
• Unloads / loads trucks or containers plus the building and breakdown of ULDs
• Schedules inbound deliveries using Advance Ship Notices
• Works within established SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
• Demonstrates depth and breadth of knowledge or proficiency in several areas or in specialized areas of responsibility
• Accurately and efficiently performs several operational tasks assigned to the individual
• Operates multiple types of material handling/packaging/warehouse equipment
• Performs several specialized warehouse operations functions within the operating guidelines of the facility
• Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
• Perform weekly / monthly / annual cycle counts
• Completes other duties and tasks as assigned by management

• Work is performed while standing sitting and/or walking
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. required.
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day
• Ability to talk and hear required.
• Ability to communicate effectively using speech vision and hearing
• Ability to use hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Requires activities involving being around moving machinery exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity and exposure to dust fumes and gases
• Ability to perform repetitive motions required.
• Ability to move or position self in order to reach lift climb balance stoop and crouch required.
• Ability to read PC screens; detect color coding read fine print and/or normal type size print required.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of two to five (2-5) years experience
• Past or current Forklift Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse/production logistics environment

Technical

• Proven proficiency in an automated warehouse environment working knowledge of WMS technologies.

Material handling equipment and personal computers with good working knowledge of MS Office Suite.

• Very organized / Methodical Critical / Analytic / Objective Approachable

• Demonstrated critical thinking using logic and reasoning to identify strengths weaknesses opportunities and risks and identifying alternative solutions or approaches
• Strong customer orientation and problem solving skills.
• Successful communication - written and verbal
