Warehouse Agent
Division: Global Forwarding

Sub-division: North America Department: Operations/Warehousing
Reports to (position): Warehouse Supervisor Classification: Non- Exempt
JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Agent is responsible for operational functions within the warehouse including Shipping and Receiving inbound/outbound deliveries pick and pack and other functions.
Duties also include regular communication with carriers the local transportation group and receivers.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs one or more warehouse operational functions within the guidelines of the facility (pick pack wrap and load orders for our customers)
- Receives and stows product
- Ensures inventory accuracy
- Unloads / loads trucks or containers plus the building and breakdown of ULDs
- Schedules inbound deliveries using Advance Ship Notices
- Works within established SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
- Demonstrates depth and breadth of knowledge or proficiency in several areas or in specialized areas of responsibility
- Accurately and efficiently performs several operational tasks assigned to the individual
- Operates multiple types of material handling/packaging/warehouse equipment
- Performs several specialized warehouse operations functions within the operating guidelines of the facility
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
- Perform weekly / monthly / annual cycle counts
- Completes other duties and tasks as assigned by management
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Work is performed while standing sitting and/or walking
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. required.
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day
- Ability to talk and hear required.
- Ability to communicate effectively using speech vision and hearing
- Ability to use hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Requires activities involving being around moving machinery exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity and exposure to dust fumes and gases
- Ability to perform repetitive motions required.
- Ability to move or position self in order to reach lift climb balance stoop and crouch required.
- Ability to read PC screens; detect color coding read fine print and/or normal type size print required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two to five (2-5) years experience
- Past or current Forklift Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced warehouse/production logistics environment
SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB
Technical
- Proven proficiency in an automated warehouse environment working knowledge of WMS technologies.
Material handling equipment and personal computers with good working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Very organized / Methodical Critical / Analytic / Objective Approachable
