VTC AV Engineer (BGPL)

The Bowen Group a GTSC company seeks a skilled VTC/AV Engineer to design install and maintain video teleconferencing and audio-visual systems supporting a network of technical communications facilities.

Location: Washington DC metro area with travel to program locations.

Security Clearance: Current Top Secret with SCI-eligibility and Special Access Programs (SAP) eligibility.

Travel: 25-50% travel to support activities across multiple program locations.

Certifications: None required. Desired: One or more of following: CTS CTS-D CTS-I.

Salary Range: $140-160K.

Mission

Ensure reliable secure collaboration capabilities across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience designing or supporting VTC/AV systems including in classified environments.
• Working knowledge of VTC codecs AV control systems and related collaboration technologies.

Nice to Have:

• Relevant certifications (e.g. CTS CTS-D CTS-I).

• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large geographically dispersed teams.

• Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) facilities systems or environments.

• Familiarity with multi-tier enterprise conference room standardization and design of classified and unclassified AV room configurations.

Primary duties include:

• Design install configure and maintain VTC and AV systems across facility locations.

• Troubleshoot VTC/AV connectivity performance and integration issues.

• Coordinate with network and facility teams to ensure systems meet security and interoperability requirements.

• Support scheduling testing and live operation of VTC/AV systems for meetings and events.

• Maintain equipment inventories documentation and maintenance schedules.

• Support operations center AV integration including NOC/SOC display systems and 24x7 monitoring environment requirements.

Current Top Secret clearance with SCI-eligibility and SAP-eligibility are required for this position. Only applicants with a current security clearance will be considered. Special Access Program (SAP) Eligibility: Candidates must successfully complete security screening related to foreign contacts foreign interests foreign travel personal conduct and financial responsibility as part of the SAP access determination process.
