Provide direct nursing care to Med Surg and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in patient conditions.
Administer medications treatments and therapies according to established protocols.
Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in cardiac rhythms or patient status.
Develop implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Collaborate with physicians nurses and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Educate patients and families regarding treatments medications and discharge instructions.
Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Perform charge nurse responsibilities when assigned.
Float to other hospital departments or units based on staffing and patient-care needs.
Follow hospital policies procedures infection-control standards and patient-safety protocols.
Participate in required education training and department meetings.

Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Previous experience in Med Surg PCU Telemetry or a comparable acute-care setting.
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
Telemetry/ cardiac monitoring experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
Strong communication teamwork and organizational skills.
Ability to float between units as required.
BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required depending on the facility and assignment.
