Join a team dedicated to protecting the safety and integrity of U.S. air travel. Peraton is seeking a dynamic and technically focused Project Manager. In this role you will take responsibility for managing a wide range of operational financial and analytical deliverables to support our dedicated team of qualified individuals with diverse skills and responsibilities as we modernize the FAAs voice communications systems.

This position is based in Herndon VA.

Your work will directly impact the millions of passengers and aviation professionals who rely on safe efficient airspace operations every day. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in the above disciplines excellent project management skills and effective communications abilities.

In this position you will:

  • Oversee operational deliverables that contribute to the success of aggressive client-mandated schedules in a changeable environment.
  • Engage with Voice Communications leadership Finance partners and other impacted parties to develop and maintain accurate and timely financial forecasts and analyses providing insight and analysis as needed.
  • Lead high-performing teams foster collaboration and deliver results that align with organizational goals and mission-critical outcomes.
  • Engage stakeholders to capture requirements manage expectations and provide transparent progress updates.
  • Monitor program performance and delivery metrics to identify risks resolve blockers and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with product owners developers and leadership to ensure program alignment and value delivery.
  • Gather critical performance information and maintain roadmaps status reports and other required documentation that tracks progress supports decision-making and meets client deliverable expectations.
  • Support change management and communication efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes or tools.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD 12 years in lieu of a degree
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with experience engaging senior leadership.
  • Comprehensive analytical skills and experience in managing small teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with or for the FAA DOT or state aviation authorities.
  • Prior experience supporting FAA NextGen NAS modernization or federal aviation strategy programs.
  • Certifications such as PMP Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI-ACP.
  • Familiarity with FAA or government standards and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of risk management budgeting and program governance.
  • Finance or accounting background.

Target Salary Range

$104000 - $166000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
