Role: VMware Engineer
Location: Scarsdale NY Manhattan NY (Onsite)
Duration: Full Time (Permanent)
Job Description:
VMware Administration:
- Manage and maintain VMware environments (vSphere ESXi vCenter)
- Perform VM provisioning configuration performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability (HA) DRS and clustering
- Execute patching and lifecycle management for VMware infrastructure
- Manage storage (SAN/NAS) integration and networking within virtual environments
- Perform capacity planning and resource optimization
Veeam Backup & Disaster Recovery:
- Design implement and manage Veeam Backup & Replication solutions
- Configure backup jobs replication and recovery strategies
- Perform regular backup validation and restoration testing
- Manage backup repositories retention policies and storage optimization
- Ensure compliance with RPO/RTO requirements
- Troubleshoot backup failures and ensure data integrity
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience in VMware (vSphere ESXi vCenter)
- Hands-on expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployment and management
- Knowledge of Windows Server Active Directory DNS and Group Policies
- Experience with FSLogix profile management
- Familiarity with Azure IaaS networking and storage services
- Scripting skills (PowerShell preferred)
- Experience with Azure security & identity management (Azure AD MFA)
- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and business continuity
Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
- Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ-140)
- Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
