VMware Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design deploy and maintainVMwarevSphere clusters ESXi hosts and related core virtualization infrastructure.
• Manage and optimize vCenter Server operations templates host profiles and distributed configurations.
• Implement and supportVMwarevSAN including storage policy design troubleshooting performance optimization and capacity planning.
• Architect and maintainVMwareNSXT networking and security components including microsegmentation.
• AdministerVMwareCloud Foundation (VCF) and integrated components ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
• Manage lifecycle operations usingVMwareLifecycle Manager (vLCM) including upgrades patching and compliance management.
• Implement automation and orchestration using tools such asVMwareAria (vRealize) Automation Orchestrator and PowerCLI.
• Monitor system performance conduct rootcause analysis and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal environment stability.
• Maintain security compliance across virtualized environments including access controls hardening and auditing.
• Collaborate with storage networking security and application teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation standard operating procedures and disaster recovery runbooks.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and participate in oncall support rotations.

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive handson experience withVMwarevSphere ESXi and vCenter in largescale enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in one or more advancedVMwarecomponents such as vSAN NSXT VCF orVMwareAria Suite.
• Proficiency with PowerShell/PowerCLI automation.
• Deep understanding of enterprise compute storage and network architectures.
• Experience with capacity planning performance tuning and lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
