Job Description: The Computer Science Department within the College of Nanotechnology Science and Engineering at the University at Albany SUNY is seeking applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science for the 2026-2027 academic year with the possibility of renewal for AY27-28. The successful candidate is expected to develop an externally funded research program in computer addition the applicant will be responsible for teaching 2-4 courses per year at the undergraduate and graduate levels and participate in curriculum development. Specific teaching assignments will be determined by the candidates expertise and the needs of the Department. Faculty are expected to provide service to the College and to their home departments and programs by participating in governance as well as providing professional service to the community and their disciplines. The successful applicant will be expected to actively mentor undergraduate and graduate students including underserved and historically underrepresented students and participate in pipeline programs to help build a diverse and representative student population. The applicant must also participate in research tied to their interests and expertise with faculty in other departments at UAlbany. Areas of particular interest include but are not limited to Software Engineering. Primary Responsibilities:
