The Opportunity:
As the Vice President of Contracts you will serve as a strategic executive leader responsible for defining developing and leading a high-performing contracts organization that supports a dynamic and growing portfolio of high-end technology and products. You will be the principal advisor to business leadership on all contractual matters shaping the businesss success through innovative contracting solutions operational discipline and proactive risk management. Your leadership will drive financial outcomes ensure compliance and foster a culture of excellence across the contracts team


Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Advisory

  • Serve as the principal strategic advisor on contract-related matters. Lead a geographically dispersed team of 20 contracting professionals to be business partners and integrate organizational strategy with strong results and contribute to overall strategic planning.
  • Lead all contract actions including proposal preparation negotiation and management of contract vehicles ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS CAS TINA) for Technology related contracts.
  • Shape opinions of key stakeholders and negotiate to create optimal outcomes leveraging deep knowledge of situational dynamics and the legal environment

Operational Excellence

  • Drive and develop an operationally disciplined contracts department ensuring efficient and compliant internal processes.
  • Oversee proactive management of contractual risk and performance requirements collaborating with the Line of Business Leader(s) and all other business functions.
  • Support program gate reviews business strategy sessions and program management reviews acting as a principal contracts liaison with LoB leadership and supporting M&A activities.

Employee Development & Engagement

  • Build and develop high-performing teams through mentoring training and process development fostering early engagement internal collaboration and critical thinking.

Stakeholder Management & Communications

  • Develop relationships with key acquisition executives contracting officers and strategic partners.
  • Strategically engage with customers to build strong business relationships enabling RFP shaping and successful negotiation outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice to leadership on contractual risks liabilities and innovative contracting strategies utilizing excellent oral and written communication skills



Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Law or related discipline.
  • Minimum18 years of progressive contracts management experience including senior leadership roles and depth in Federal and Defense Acquisition Regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in proposal development negotiation risk identification/mitigation and managing contracts throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams drive financial outcomes and resolve complex contract issues collaboratively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including but not limited to geographic location Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates relevant prior work experience specific skills and competencies education and certifications.
