About the Role:

We are seeking a Board-Certified Veterinary Radiologist to serve as Radiologist Residency Director leading the continued growth and development of an innovative radiology residency program designed to bridge academic excellence with modern specialty practice.

This unique opportunity combines clinical practice teaching mentorship and program leadership. As Residency Director you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of veterinary radiologists while maintaining an active clinical presence in a collaborative specialty environment.

Working closely with leadership supervising diplomates and the education team you will help deliver a structured high-quality residency experience aligned with ACVR standards while fostering a culture of clinical excellence professional development and continuous learning.

This position offers remote flexibility with a required 60% onsite presence in Round Rock Texas. A fully onsite arrangement is also available with relocation assistance provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the radiology residency program ensuring a high-quality training experience aligned with ACVR standards.
  • Develop evaluate and enhance curriculum educational initiatives and residency program structure in collaboration with leadership and supervising diplomates.
  • Provide mentorship coaching and performance evaluations to residents supporting their clinical growth professionalism and board certification readiness.
  • Maintain an active clinical radiology practice interpreting advanced imaging studies and delivering real-time case-based teaching.
  • Support the development and effectiveness of clinical instructors and foster a collaborative learning environment.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements including resident evaluations case logs documentation and program reporting.
  • Contribute to internship training clinical research initiatives and the continued growth and advancement of veterinary radiology education.

Requirements:

  • Board-Certified Veterinary Radiologist (ACVR) with a passion for clinical excellence education and mentorship.
  • Experience in resident training clinical teaching mentorship or specialty education programs.
  • Strong leadership organizational and program development skills with the ability to guide and grow a high-quality residency program.
  • Expertise in interpreting a diverse imaging caseload including CT MRI radiographs and ultrasound.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and the ability to communicate imaging findings effectively to colleagues residents and referring veterinarians.
  • Ability to balance clinical responsibilities teaching mentorship and program leadership in a dynamic specialty environment.
  • Strong interpersonal collaboration and feedback skills with a commitment to developing future veterinary specialists.
  • Self-motivated adaptable and committed to advancing veterinary radiology education and patient care.
  • Ability to accurately interpret a high-volume and diverse imaging caseload including CT MRI radiographs and ultrasound.
  • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic reasoning skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate imaging findings to referring veterinarians specialists and residents.
  • Comfort balancing efficiency quality and teaching responsibilities within a specialty referral setting.
