Advanced Specialist Vehicle Systems Engineer Summary
Focuses on designing and integrating advanced vehicle system architectures for new ground platforms using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and CAMEO. Responsible for breaking down requirements modeling system behavior and ensuring seamless interaction across system subsystem and component levels to support hardware and software development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Requirements development decomposition and traceability
- System/subsystem modeling using SysML and MBSE tools
- Design and review of connectivity and architecture diagrams
- Development of integration and test plans
- Vehicle and subsystem integration lab/vehicle testing and validation
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Electrical Computer Science Controls Software or related field (advanced degree or equivalent experience considered)
- 8 10 years of engineering experience
- Strong systems engineering background with exposure to electrical/mechanical disciplines
- Experience in at least one: mobility systems vehicle electronics or video systems
- Hands-on experience with MBSE and CAMEO
Work context:
Primarily onsite role supporting defense vehicle development at General Dynamics Land Systems focused on improving performance safety and system survivability.
