Vehicle Assets & Transportation Human Capital Compliance Supervisor
Job Summary
The Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the monitoring execution and assurance of Vehicle asset lifecycle and Human Capital compliance expectations with all Federal (49 CFR) and State Department of Transportation (DOT) IFTA IRP and respective Marvin Policies and Procedures associated with compliance of respective program responsibilities. The position requires a strong background in problem solving process execution proficiency data analytics and regulatory understanding. The Supervisor maintains a good working relationship with all levels of personnel across operations supported as well as other key partners across Enterprise to assist in identifying opportunities streamlining processes and developing systematic solutions to ensure program compliance. This position must be able to work independently with minimal direction with an elevated level of relationship and collaboration ability and integrity. Limited travel required for the position.
- Supervise Sr. Safety Specialists and other positions as may be required to support program responsibilities.
- Partner with internal staff and business operation partners to analyze results & assist in managing the execution of compliance policies and processes.
- Assist in the development monitoring and improvement of programs and policies.
- Assess/evaluate current practices processes and vendor partners to ensure identification of risks and recommend improvement opportunities.
- Partner with business operation personnel to optimize process execution and maximize efficiency.
- Responsible to partner with key stakeholders within Marvin and regulatory agencies for program compliance and reporting assurance.
- Educates and provides subject matter training internal staff and operation stakeholders on regulatory changes impacting program requirements and potential process changes.
- Conduct and manage program audit processes and vendor management accountability.
- Responsible for conducting effective monitoring and identification of opportunities for continuous improvement areas in support of the Transportation Safety team.
- Assist and support new employee training processes.
- Partner with Enterprise Transportation Safety Managers to establish CSA scoring remediation plans with business operation partners.
- Partners with various departments including HR Tax Safety etc. to develop refine as applicable and report on program compliance asset lifecycle management and oversight as part of a metric scorecard.
- Assess state and federal permit licensing and registration requirements and ensure effective program management and compliance with regulatory expectations across operations.
- Supports Director and other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree and/or applicable certifications or credentials in a related field is preferred.
- 4-7 years of experience in a Supervisory position supporting vehicle registration licensing permitting processes at a state and federal level as well as proficient knowledge of Department of Transportation regulatory program compliance.
- Strong leadership supervisor experience and management skills
- Proficiency and experience in computer knowledge analyzing and reporting of data.
- Ability to lead processes track and report results.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with associates across different business functions to achieve a common goal.
- Ability to travel.
