Utility Worker

As aUtility Workerat Via you will play a key role in maintaining the safety efficiency and functionality of our facilities vehicles and grounds. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly through a wide range of maintenance and support tasks.

On-the-job training is provided and no prior transit experience is required. This is in person at our Tulare location

What Youll Do:

• Upkeep sanitize and detail buses and support vehicles to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for riders and staff.
• Perform general building and grounds upkeep including custodial tasks and minor repairs ensuring facilities are clean orderly and operating safely.
• Support the operations team with miscellaneous responsibilities as they arise including moving equipment organizing workspaces and assisting with special projects.
• Additional dutieswill be discussed during the interview and may evolve based on operational needs.

Who You Are:

• Hold a valid drivers license.
• Dynamic; willing to wear multiple hats and work on projects of all types.
• An action-oriented executor: you take initiative to solve problems and get the job done.
• Successful completion of a drug test criminal background check and motor vehicle records check is mandatory for employment.
• Able to pass a pre-employment physical.
• Pass a drug screening and background check: no felonies clean MVR no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions and no more than 2 speeding tickets.
• At least 21 years old.

Compensation and Benefits

• Final salary will be determined by the candidates experience knowledge and skills.
• Salary: Starting at $16/hour
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required.
