Summary

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a United States Marine Corps (USMC) Joint Continental United States (CONUS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Air National Guard (ANG) Operational Training Support (OTS) at the Distributed Training Operations Center (DTOC) in Des Moines Iowa. This role develops and delivers advanced training for joint operational and fires-related mission sets serving as the primary USMC expert within a distributed simulation and missiontraining environment. #LI-MJ1

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Develop training curriculum study outlines and orientation materials used during simulation mission rehearsal and distributed training events.
  • Assess trainee progress identify skill gaps and recommend qualification or additional training.
  • Evaluate simulator design and training effectiveness to ensure alignment with joint operational requirements.
  • Coordinate training schedules simulator access and necessary engineering or technical support.
  • Serve as the USMC Joint Operations Planner and CONUS SME for ANG OTS events.
  • Provide subjectmatter expertise in Joint Fires Command and Control (C2) aviation operations and Marine Corpsspecific mission sets.
What you must have
  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant
  • Prior United States Marine Corps (USMC) experience is required.
  • Current or former qualification with at least five years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Composite Warfare Commander (CWC) concepts roles and responsibilities.
    • III Marine Expeditionary Force (III MEF) organic forces.
    • I Marine Aircraft Wing (I MAW) organic forces.
    • USMC or United States Navy (USN) fighter aircraft operations.
    • USMC or USN rotarywing aircraft operations.
    • Marine Corps combat arms officer experience.
    • Marine Corps aviation experience as a fixedwing or rotarywing pilot.
    • Marine Corps Command Control and Communications (C3).
    • Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron (MAWTS1) or United States Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) graduate (desired within SOW but not required).
    • Air Officer (AirO).
    • Joint Tactical Air Controller (JTAC) qualification or prior JTAC experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to brief instruct and coordinate with senior leaders operators engineering teams and government stakeholders.
  • Must have a current of active DoD interim secret clearance or higher must maitain credintial through out employeement
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain base access creditinals.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current or former Joint Tactical Air Controller (JTAC) qualification is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated USMC Fires experience supporting joint or combined operations.
  • Experience in Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) Advanced Tactical Training and Evaluation (ADVTE) or similar virtual/constructive training environments.
  • Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) Battle Simulation Center experience.
  • Fire Support Coordination Center (FSCC) or Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLICO) background.
  • Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron (MAWTS1) Air Officer Course graduate.
  • Prior instructor experience in Command and Control (C2) or aviation fires integration.
  • Experience supporting ANG or Joint training events particularly simulation-based training.
Physical Requirements

Work generally requires minimal physical activity; occasional lifting of small boxes records or training equipment may be necessary.
