Job Summary:
This position is accountable for the integrity timeliness and compliance of all financial reporting across Brinks US. The role serves as the single point of accountability for close execution consolidation controls statutory and external reporting and audit outcomes combining deep technical accounting leadership with strong operational and execution governance.
This position reports to the N.A Controller and is also responsible for U.S. GAAP technical research advising senior management of alternatives strategies and pitfalls of various accounting matters.
In this role you will leverage your in-depth accounting knowledge and research capabilities to provide solutions to complex and challenging business role will work closely with the corporate accounting teams and will collaborate with team members across various business functions in North America business to solve our most complex accounting issues.
- Own end-to-end oversight of the period close and consolidation including multiple legal entities operating models and currencies.
- Ensure close calendars are achieved with consistency accuracy and predictability.
- Review and approve market-level trial balances key estimates and highjudgment accounting entries.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for issues impacting financial integrity compliance or timing driving resolution in partnership with market teams and center-led functions.
- Continuous learning Providing guidance and training related to technical accounting topics to the business.
- Assist or lead special projects on an as needed basis.
- Presenting complex accounting matters relevant communications and analyses to senior management in a clear and concise manner
- North America Lease Accounting and Fixed Assets detailed activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience managing the monthly quarterly and yearly close for business operation of multiple entities
- Experience managing staff accountants direct or indirect reports (through Shared Services).
- Experience reviewing monthly Fleet and Accounts Payables expenses and capitalizations accordingly with Corporate Policy
- Blackline Reconciliations: Review (monitoring and analysis) balance sheet account reconciliations for a preassigned number of entities. Report the reconciliation results to corporate in a timely basis and to the entities and provide training/clarification to the entities to fix the issues found in the process.
- Lease Accounting: Assist with the coordination with the Lease Accounting Center providing proper lease information and support ARO calculation
- Inventory control and physical count
- Facilitate training to team with regards to Blackline US GAAP Leases ARO Accruals etc.
- Corporate Policies: Reinforce and help entities/departments to adhere to corporate policies.
- Perform other duties as required or necessary (supporting SOX FP&A and TAX etc.)
- Perform technical accounting research and prepare documentation of accounting positions and conclusions.
- Driving the adoption of new accounting standards
- Assisting with process improvement in various areas of the finance organization
- Provide accounting guidance and analytical support to senior management operating unit accounting staff functional departments and external auditors.
- Controls mindset Assist the North America Controller and SOX team on Internal Controls by leading projects to maintain the integrity of our SOX compliance program providing guidance and expertise to ensure continuous improvement of the internal control environment.

- US Lease Accounting and Fixed Assets detailed activities
Overall Responsibilities:
- Drive Brinks US close performance including fleet accounting fixed assets Lease accounting intercompany eliminations AP and other small US entities.
- Serve as Brinks primary owner of Record-to-Report execution delivered through managed services governing SLAs KPIs and structured service reviews with strong root-cause discipline.
- Lead resolution of execution issues impacting close quality cycle time or reliability with a focus on sustainable improvements rather than workarounds.
