UPF Commissioning Liaison Specialist

The UPF Commissioning Liaison Specialist assists the Commissioning Manager in the technical execution integration and seamless transition of systems from construction to operational readiness. This role directly supports front-line supervisors engineers and startup teams in work planning scheduling and resolving interface issues between UPF commissioning activities and existing facility operations.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development tracking and monitoring of commissioning testing and system turnover schedules.
• Monitor track coordinate and resolve issues related to commissioning schedules facility readiness equipment/tooling availability and procurement of required supplies services or components.
• Serve as a relief lead as requested supporting shift and pre-job briefings and ensuring accurate completion of required documentation.
• Identify and implement Lean/5S and productivity improvements to operational and commissioning practices providing floor leadership in implementing approved initiatives.
• Support management in liaison activities with bargaining unit employees training status staffing actions and work request planning.
• Interact with project stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate execution of system readiness activities.
• Maintain safe working conditions proactively prevent injuries contaminations and exposures and ensure the safe efficient and effective flow of work within the facility. (Overtime may be required to support project milestones).

Accountabilities:

• To the UPF Commissioning Manager for ensuring commissioning processes schedule performance against project milestones.
• To the UPF Lead Commissioning Liaison for the effective interface and integration of UPF with existing YFO & PMO.

• Bachelors degree: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• OR Masters degree: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• OR PhD: No experience.
• Twelve or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.

• Relevant experience in production operations environment and interfaces with production and start up/commissioning personnel is desired.
• Working knowledge of related production and facility support equipment and maintenance processes are preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of Issues Management System and development of effective corrective action plans are desired.
• Requires strong technical organizational and communication skills.
• A commitment to continuous process improvement and lean/7S concepts is required.
• Demonstrated understanding of Conduct of Operations and Integrated Safety Management System principles and requirements is required.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
