1ST SHIFT

The Machinist is responsible for operating machine tools to produce precision metal partswith little to no direct supervision. Produce small or large quantities of parts out of various types of materials (i.e. steel aluminum HDPE...). Ensure products meet precise specifications basedon blueprints sketches verbal instructions or worn parts.

Required Skills:

• Working knowledge of lathes mills and a variety of manual equipment is necessary and an expert level of knowledge in either lathes or mills or both.

• Expert knowledge of conversational and/or CNC programming.

• Excellent problem solving skills.

• Ability to read and interpret a variety of blueprints found in machine shop work and work from sketches process sheets verbal instruction and worn or destroyed parts.

• Knowledge and understanding of machine shop mathematics including basic algebra and geometry.

• Must have strong general mechanical skills.

• Must have some machinist tools.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and able to stand/walk for shift.
