UEFI BIOS Developer for HP Z Workstations

HP is looking for a talented and motivated engineer to join our Workstations R&D team. We are seeking an engineer with a strong passion for lowlevel development and handson hardware experience.

Responsibilities

• You will work at the intersection of hardware and software helping to design develop and deliver cuttingedge workstation solutions used by some of the worlds most demanding customers.

• As an engineer on the HP Z Workstations team you will design develop debug and maintain UEFI system firmware (BIOS) to deliver innovative solutions to customers.

• You will work in a fastpaced collaborative environment with early access to unreleased hardware and software gaining broad technical experience while solving complex customer problems.

Desired Experience and Knowledge

• The ideal candidate has excellent troubleshooting skills a drive to identify root cause and the ability to work effectively across teams.

• You should be innovative selfmotivated qualityfocused and possess strong communication and technical skills.

• Professional experience in firmware development

• Strong C programming skills.

• Experience with UEFI/BIOS microcontrollers embedded systems or other low-level code.

• Experience with debuggers protocol analyzers and software development tools.

• Knowledge of hardware-software integration and low-level system design.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or similar

The pay range for this role is $93400to$143800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location job-related knowledge skills and experience.
