Position Summary

The ProfessionalSTEMTutor will provide weekly drop-in hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate inSTEM911 sessions.
• Work with peer tutors to develop and deliver appropriate strategies for the students who attendSTEM911.
• Provide individualized skill-development support to students.
• Complete accurate and up-to-date records for eachSTEM911 session as well as individual meetings with students.
• Respond to allLWCand student inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
• Participate inLWCstaff meetings and professional development when possible.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all student information material and discussions shared in the tutoring relationship.
• Develop a good understanding and knowledge of the Guilford College curriculum academic calendar campus services supports and resources and make appropriate student referrals to college offices departments or professionals when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
